In order to enhance Maubeuge's rich historic and cultural heritage, the Tourist Office offers "Heritage Cards" where all the town's monuments, building or curiosities are described and explained in much.
Vauban's fortifications:
Dating back to the 17th century, the Maubeuge fortifications are one of the most stiking testimonies to the thown's history. Today, the town walls are still inevitable for a bucolic and historical walk in a green environment where nature, in some spots, has reasserted itself.
Zoo
